PM Elevation

Terms of service

Last updated 24 August 2026

These are the terms on which PM Elevation Ltd provides the PM Elevation Academy. Buying a place means agreeing to them. They are written to be read, and if any part is unclear, ask us before you buy rather than after.

Who we are

PM Elevation Ltd, registered in Scotland, number SC881958, at 11 Scott Avenue, Polmont, Falkirk, Scotland, FK2 0PN. You can reach us at support@pmelevation.co.uk.

What you are buying

There are two memberships, each a single payment rather than a subscription:

Both prices include UK VAT at 20%, so nothing is added at checkout. Depending on where you are and whether you give a VAT number, the tax within that price may differ, and where it does the total differs with it; Stripe calculates it before you pay, and the amount shown on the payment page is the amount taken. You get a VAT invoice by email either way.

How long your access lasts

Portal access runs for 3 years from the date you buy it. That is long enough for a full ChPP attempt twice over, including an unsuccessful first one. Cohort sessions run to the published dates for the intake you join.

If we ever have to close the Academy we will give you reasonable notice and you will be able to export your work before it goes. You can export it at any time anyway, from your account page.

What we do not promise

We cannot promise you will achieve Chartered Project Professional status, and nothing we say should be read as promising it. ChPP is assessed and awarded by the Association for Project Management, who are independent of us. They set the standard, they assess your application and they make the decision. We are not APM, we do not act for APM, and we have no influence over the outcome.

What we provide is preparation: the guidance, the drafting tools, and on the cohort the coaching and feedback of experienced practitioners. Whether that results in a successful application depends on your own experience, the evidence you can give and APM’s judgement of it. A coach may tell you your application is not ready. That is the coaching working, not a failure of it.

Nothing in this section limits your rights if we fail to provide the service itself with reasonable care and skill.

Cancelling and refunds

Your 14-day right, and how it works here

As a consumer buying at a distance you normally have 14 days to change your mind. Because you get the portal content immediately, we ask you at checkout to agree to two things: that you want access to start straight away, and that you understand you lose the right to cancel the digital content once it has started. That is your choice to make, and you make it before you pay.

The coaching part of a cohort is different, because it is a service delivered over months rather than content unlocked at once. So a cohort purchase separates into two parts, and they are treated differently:

In practice the 14 days will usually have passed before your cohort begins, because most places are bought well in advance. This mainly matters if you join an intake that is already under way.

To cancel, email support@pmelevation.co.uk within 14 days of buying. You do not have to give a reason. We refund to your original payment method within 14 days of accepting the cancellation.

After 14 days

After that, you do not have a general right to a refund because you changed your mind. We may still give one if your circumstances warrant it, and we would rather you asked than assumed. That is a discretion, not an entitlement.

That is about changing your mind, and it is a different question from something being wrong with what we sold you. If something is wrong, see below: you have rights there that we cannot take away and are not trying to.

If something is wrong with what we provide

Separately from anything above, the law says what we sell you has to be of satisfactory quality, fit for what it is meant to do, and as described. The coaching has to be delivered with reasonable care and skill. If it is not, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in these terms limits them: not the 14-day rules, not the position on refunds after them, and not the limits on our liability further down.

In plain terms:

Ask at support@pmelevation.co.uk. You do not need to quote the Act at us, and we would rather sort it out than argue about which remedy applies.

If you cannot continue

Life gets in the way: illness, a job change, a project going badly wrong at the worst moment. If you cannot carry on with your cohort, talk to us. We will normally move you to a later intake so you can pick it up when you are able to, and you keep your portal access in the meantime.

That is something we offer rather than something you can require, it is normally once, and it depends on a place being available. But we would much rather you finished late than not at all, so ask.

If you delete your account

You can ask us to delete your account and everything in it at any time, and we will. It is worth being clear that deleting is a different thing from cancelling, because deleting is the only way out you can action yourself.

Deleting ends your access and any cohort place permanently, and we do not refund what is left of either. Export your work before you ask, because none of it is recoverable afterwards.

The 14 days are the exception. If you ask us to delete your account within 14 days of buying, we treat that as telling us you want to cancel as well, so you do not have to ask twice. Because deleting cannot be undone, we will confirm the refund with you before we delete anything, and you can tell us at that point if you would rather keep your place after all.

If we cannot action the deletion, which happens rarely and for reasons we would explain, the cancellation still stands and we still refund you. And if we already owe you a refund, asking to be deleted does not cancel it: we keep the record of your payment for six years for tax whatever else goes, so we can still pay you.

If we cancel or move a cohort

If we have to cancel a cohort or move its dates, you choose: transfer to the next intake, or take a full refund of what you paid. We will tell you why, and we will not put you in a cohort you did not pick.

Your account

Your membership is personal to you. Do not share your sign-in with anyone else and do not let anyone else use your account: the material is licensed to you, not to your team or your employer. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think somebody else has it.

You must be 18 or over to buy a membership.

Your work, and our material

What you write is yours. Your application, your drafts and the evidence in them belong to you. We hold them so we can provide the service and so your coach can give feedback, and you can download all of it or have it deleted at any time.

We will never use your application as an example, anonymised or otherwise, without asking you first and getting a yes.

What we write is ours. The guidance, videos, worked examples, templates and question banks are our copyright or licensed to us. You may use them for your own ChPP preparation. You may not copy, share, republish or sell them, use them to train an AI model, or use them to run your own training or coaching.

Using the Academy properly

Do not use the Academy to:

Fabricating evidence is the serious one, because a ChPP application is a professional declaration. If we believe an application is dishonest we may decline to review it and may end your membership.

If you break these terms we may suspend or end your access. Where the breach is not serious we will tell you and give you a chance to put it right first. If we end your membership for a serious breach, we may keep a proportionate part of what you paid, reflecting the access and the sessions you have already had and any loss the breach caused us, and we refund the rest. We will tell you how we worked it out.

Coaching sessions

Coaches are assigned by us and may change: your sessions may be with a different coach from the one you first met, and we do not guarantee a particular individual.

Book your one-to-one sessions within the booking window for your cohort. If you cannot make one, cancel it in the Academy so the slot goes back to your coach. You can do that yourself up to the cut-off for that session, which is normally two clear working days before it starts, counting whole days and not counting weekends. After that the Academy will not release it, because your coach has set the time aside and prepared for it, so email us instead and we will do what we can.

A session cancelled after the cut-off, or one you simply do not attend, counts as delivered and does not entitle you to another. Tell us if something went wrong, though, because we would rather rearrange it than count it.

Changes

We improve the Academy continually, so the material and tools will change over time. We will not make a change that removes something substantial you paid for. If we need to change these terms we will tell members by email, and the changes will not apply retrospectively to a purchase you have already made.

If something goes wrong

Tell us first, at support@pmelevation.co.uk. We will acknowledge within two working days and try to resolve it properly. We would much rather fix a problem than argue about it.

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses: the Academy is supplied for personal professional development, and if you use it for a business purpose we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or lost opportunity. Our total liability to you will not exceed what you paid us. That cap does not apply to a refund or price reduction you are entitled to because something we provided was faulty or not as described: those are your rights, not our liability.

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live and may bring proceedings in your own courts.

How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
